WHAT WE DO
The SD INTERIORS ACADEMY is a digital design and architectural rendering training academy. Our students can gain advanced interior and exterior rendering skills. They can use these skills to create best-of-breed portfolios and get interior designing and architectural rendering work.
Our course lasts eight weeks. No previous experience in rendering or design is necessary. In fact, our students can go from zero to rendering and design heroes. Our courses are completed with world-class levels of architectural rendering and photorealistic expertise.
Already have experience of rendering? No problem. We’ll set the bar higher to accommodate your skill level.
We offer online tuition. Enroll, and in less than two months you will learn how to create world-class photorealistic visualisations.
- SD Interiors Academy offers design and architectural rendering tuition online.
- We meet 3x / week on webinars on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7 pm (GMT + 01:00), 2 hrs each. These meetings can be a lot of fun. You get to meet a lot of new people virtually. We also have a 2-day weekend program: Saturdays and Sundays from 4-7 pm (GMT + 01:00).
- SD Interiors Academy only teaches in English for now.
- During these meetings, we talk about your current homework, answer your questions, and give tips on how to improve the quality of your work. We record each meeting, so if you can’t attend a meeting, you won’t fall behind.
- After completing an exercise, you share the results of the exercise with us. At the next meeting, we make corrections to your work for sharing and discussion. This is your opportunity to shine among your peers!
- We teach you how to render in the cloud (renderfarm) on a budget. You can finish a whole project real fast.
- We run a 24/7 group chat. Group learning through chat makes work easier, and prepares you for future pro teamwork.
- During the course, you’ll prepare at least two projects: an interior and an exterior. We’ll show you how to make photorealistic visualizations quickly. You’ll be working as a group, so you can observe the progress of others, and learn much faster. You might work on, say, the kitchen, while your colleague is designing the living room. In the end, you both know how to render both a kitchen and a living room.

- BASIC and ADVANCED MODELING – Learn cutting-edge modelling techniques. This will enable you to model interiors and exteriors (and utility items) skilfully.
- INTERIOR LIGHTING CREATION – This is absolutely essential to good visualisations.
- INTERIOR MATERIAL CREATION – Learn how to create the right materials, adapted to unique types of lighting. Get access to a database of the best textures on the market.
- INTERIOR POST-PRODUCTION – SD Interiors Academy rendering does not require a large amount of post-production: with us, your work will require only minor ‘beauty’ treatments; but we will teach you how to get the best out of visualization.
- EXTERIOR MODELING – You will learn how to create architectural solids prepared for photorealistic rendering, parametric elevations, and the rapid creation of solids for conceptual purposes. Master the principles of proper framing and camera settings.
- EXTERIOR LIGHT and MATERIAL CREATION – You will learn exterior lighting methods that can create phenomenal results quickly.
- EXTERIOR POST-PRODUCTION – You will learn how to post-produce elegant and well-balanced exterior renders.
Your coursework with us will result in a portfolio of between two and seven photorealistic visualisations. This will create a solid basis for your career in rendering and design.

Key Details
We work in Autodesk 3ds Max 2022 (or newer) + Vray Renderer
Hardware requirements: minimum Intel i5 or i7 processor; minimum 8 GB RAM (ideally up to 12 GB). RAM impacts workflow ease. The graphics card does not matter.
SD Interiors Academy course completed and shown on your CV/resume equates to validity in the eyes of a prospective employer. It can open doors.
